| The picsure gateway to mobile imaging |
Enables any member of the public who owns a camera phone to help in the fight for Safer Neighbourhoods and tackling Anti-social Behaviour. They can make a photo report of the problem directly to the desktop of the right person to deal with it. |
| Sending a picture is as easy as sending a text message |
| All they do when they see graffitti or fly-tipping or abandoned cars or any other environmental problem, is snap it with their phone and send it using MMS to a pre-stored mobile number. It's as easy as texting. |
| View the submitted pictures online within a couple of minutes |
| The photo usually arrives within a couple of minutes directly on an operators screen. Operators can see the phone number of the person who sent it and any text information they provided. The operator can route the picture messaging report to the right person to deal with the issue. |
| Keep the public informed online |
| Two-way communication is key to building great partnerships with the public. So there are three easy ways built in to picsure for instant updates. The first is an automatic text sent back to the phone as soon as the picture is received. The second is a special online area for progress updates unique to the submitter. The third is used when the incident has been dealt with and communicates to the public at large via web pages linked to the organisation's web site. All updates are typed online by the operator; much quicker, easier and cheaper than posting letters. |
| Rapidly growing user base |
| To date voice and text messaging have been the primary mobile communication channels. picsure is the first practical way of receiving mobile photos from the public. Ofcom established that there are 58.4 million UK mobile phone owners, many more than have access to the internet. A separate survey identified that as of December 2005, 36% of them were actively sending picture messages. Engaging with mobile imaging has become a strategic necessity. |
| Operational in weeks not months |
| It takes 2-3 weeks to implement the core gateway. It is completely self-contained, delivering to your desktop over the internet. Consisting of your picsure number, unlimited secure users, unlimted keywords and a simple download to disk capability; it is everything you need to start engaging with mobile consumers. Publicise your picsure number and receive mobile pictures from the public direct to your desktop. |
| Cost effective |
| Delivery of functionality over the internet rather than implementation on your own equipment means massive cost savings compared to traditional methods. There is no up-front capital investment and the monthly service fee is on a sliding scale; the higher the number of photos received, the cheaper the unit cost becomes. There is no requirement for in-house technical support or hardware purchase. |
| Risk free development |
| The monthly service fee includes regular upgrades. As new ways of making picsure more effective are found, they will be implemented and rolled out to all customers. That means everyone benefits from everyone else's good ideas and best practices automatically. |
| Specialised enhancements |
| Over and above the regular roll-outs, our team of developers can add customised features to enhance your business impact. Our consultancy model means that if we can take your special feature and make it a feature our other customers will want, you will only pay 25% of the development costs. |
